About Edelweiss Analyst Program (EAP)

Philosophy
Edelweiss is a multi- line financial services firm, the only one to have got created. Genesis
Many of the Wall Street firms have the model of a Wall Street Analyst Program (WAP) for under- graduates. Taking off from this model, Edelweiss is the 1st firm in the financial services space to run recruitment drives from graduating students. Christened as the Edelweiss Analyst Program (EAP), the year 2003 had the 3 fresh graduate hires came on board under the EAP. Thereon, the EAP has been institutionalized as a strategic talent acquisition strategy, with the EAP pool forming 25% of the organization strength. From the modest number of 3 in ‘03 the total number of hires coming on board in ‘07 stand at 80+.

Profile
The best of graduating students pursuing Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) OR Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) with keenness on a career in financial services apply to this program. The EAP reach has been taken to select graduation colleges in Mumbai. All applicants go through a challenging aptitude test based on which candidates are selected for an in depth panel interview. Based on the twin performances a candidate is selected. The rigor of the selection process is exemplified by the ratio of 60 applicants making it to the EAP from a lot of 800 applicants.
